You’ve seen the photos...
Hundreds of colourful balloons floating over Cappadocia at sunrise.

I’d seen them too… and I thought, “That’s going to be me!”

Except, no one tells you this: balloons don’t actually fly every day.

In fact, they can be canceled up to 90 days a year due to weather.

When I visited, a local told me I was lucky as it had been grounded for a week straight before I arrived.

So here’s my tip:
👉 Book your hot air balloon for your first morning, not your last — it gives you backup days in case of cancellations.
👉 And book early (they fill up weeks in advance).
