Hey there,

When most people think of Greece, they picture Mykonos in summer... beaches, nightlife, and whitewashed houses.

But in winter? Locals head for Arachova. They even call it the “Mykonos of winter.”

It's on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, just 10 minutes from Delphi, it’s a mountain town full of cozy tavernas, chic little shops, and even a ski scene.

On weekends, it buzzes with Athenians escaping the city but during the week, it’s peaceful and charming.

AND I didn't expect to LOVE it this much!

I stayed overnight after visiting Delphi instead of rushing back to Athens. Wandering along its cobbled streets, warming up with a glass of red by the fire, and the winter sunsets... EPIC!

👉 Read my guide to Arachova here - including where to stay, how to fit it into a Delphi trip, and the best tavernas for hearty winter meals.

Trust me, Arachova is one of those places you’ll want to add to your Greece trip especially if you want a completely different vibe from the islands.
